Hey there! So glad you could stop by. I'm Tresa Black. Sometimes I'm called The Stamp Goddess, and I'm always Fabulously Artsy. . .
I've been this way all my life, and I come from an artsy family background. My dad was a commercial artist, a fine artist of western and wildlife art, a mural painter and an art teacher. Growing up, I had access to every crafty supply I could wish for and creativity was encouraged (thanks Mom & Dad!)
In high school, while my fellow classmates worked at fast food joints and mowed lawns, I ran a children's summer art school in our basement, airbrushed tee-shirts for softball teams, and painted signs for local businesses.
After I graduated with a degree in graphic design, I worked in publishing and printing, creating logos, business forms and advertisements. I met the man of my dreams, got married and was blessed with four crazy, messy, creative kids. I've been a stay-at-home mom since the day we brought home our first bundle of joy. I still needed to keep on craftin', so I sewed baby clothes and halloween costumes, painted home decor and started dabbling in scrapbooking.
Everything changed when a neighbor invited me to a home party for Close to My Heart. Rubber stamps? I owned a dancing pig stamp for 10 years and hardly knew what to do with it. Oh, my.... I was amazed at the creative possiblities that a single stamp could bring. From that moment, the Stamp Goddess was born.
Now, I have been a Close to My Heart consultant for over 12 years. I have been published many times in Close to My Heart's catalogs and Papercrafts magazine. I hold classes in my home, as well as online, and have taught at Close to My Heart's national convention. I have a youtube channel with how-to videos, and I host Creative University, an annual retreat in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
I love to hear from friends and fans. If you'd like to purchase Close to My Heart products, or join my team as a Close to My Heart consultant, or have questions about my classes in Spokane, WA, or just want to say howdy, please contact me anytime.
